Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of the Famba website, the product demo, and the launch waitlist. Famba has not yet launched as a transactional marketplace, so please read section 2 carefully.
1. Who we are
Famba is a peer-to-peer car-rental marketplace being built for Zimbabwe. A registered operating entity is being established; these terms will be updated with its details before any real bookings take place.
2. Pre-launch status: the important bit
- The platform you can browse today is a demonstration. Cars, prices, bookings, payments and reviews shown in the demo are illustrative and do not represent live inventory or completed transactions.
- No booking made in the demo is a real reservation, no payment is taken, and no insurance cover is in force.
- Insurance, GPS-tracking and verification describe the service we are building and will only apply once we launch with our insurance partner. We won't take a real booking before per-trip cover is active.
3. The waitlist
- Joining the waitlist is free and non-binding, for you and for us. It's an expression of interest, not a contract, and doesn't guarantee onboarding, pricing or launch timing.
- Founding-host benefits we advertise (e.g. 0% commission for 60 days, free GPS fitting) will be honoured for eligible waitlist members at launch, subject to vehicle vetting and the host agreement.
- You confirm the details you submit are accurate and the contact number is yours.
4. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the site: no scraping of personal data, no attempting to breach security, no submitting false or offensive content, no using the demo to mislead others. We may block access for misuse.
5. Intellectual property
The Famba name, design, and content on this site belong to us. You may share links and screenshots freely; you may not copy the product or pass it off as your own.
6. No warranties; limitation of liability
The site and demo are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by Zimbabwean law, Famba isn't liable for losses arising from use of this pre-launch site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. By using the site or joining the waitlist you consent to it.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Disputes will be resolved in Zimbabwean courts, after a good-faith attempt to resolve things directly first.
9. Changes
We'll revise these terms as we move to launch, including full booking, payment, host and renter terms. Material changes will be flagged on this page.
